Week of January 27th

Announcements

Sign up sheets went out for the following:

If you can provide lunch one day at Memorial Hospital.

Sign up for the Men's Retreat next weekend, February 1st & 2nd.

Piece Maker's ministry is needing sewers for several projects as well as donations of fabric.

Date Night is this Saturday, February 2nd. Sign up if you wish to participate.

Annual Valentine's Dinner is scheduled for Saturday, February 9th. Child care will be provided.

We also took up a contribution for the Parker family today.

Our class will be going to 5 Burgers and 5 Guys on Sunday, February 10th after class. Please let Maria or Julie know if you will be attending.

Don't forget about meeting this month for Supper Club! To let everyone know, the Woods' have been added to the Supper Club list and will be joining the group in the months that only have 2 families in the group.

Praise! Danny Thompson, Casey's dad, received results - he is cancer free!

Praise! John and Ginger Dennis' baby, former members at East Brainerd, is doing very well for being a preemie. He should be going home soon once he gains more weight.

Pray for the Betancourt family. They are a north Georgia family who lost a son in Iraq.

Lessie Williams is continuing her chemo treatments. She is doing well and has a great attitude.

Continue to remember Tim George as cancer has spread throughout his body.

Week of January 20th

Update 1/22/2008 - The Parker family, the family we helped at Christmas, is in need of a dryer. If you know someone who has recently purchased a new dryer and is needing to get rid of the older one, let Casey Kiel know.

Money is planning on being taken up on Sunday for adding minutes to Ms. Parker's cell phone. If you can contribute, please bring money on Sunday.

Congratulations to Reed and Jayme on the birth of a daughter, Addison Elizabeth, on Friday!

We have coordinated food for the next two weeks for the Dills' and Woods.' We passed around a list today and here are every one's assignments.

Pray for Shelby Parker - she's at home sick. She is the daughter of the family we helped at Christmas.

Tim George, a 1994 graduate from BBS, has cancer. Several in our class went to high school with Tim.

Continue to remember James and Lessie Williams.

Ginger Dennis, former member at East Brainerd, gave birth to a premature son this week.

Casey's dad will receive his scan results this week. Pray for remission!

Jason's medical partner who recently moved to Chattanooga has a 15-month-old son who has Neuroblastoma. They are expecting another child as well.

Pray for Stephanie's family in the sudden passing of her 45-year-old cousin, Waynsie Miller.

Pray for Reid Scott, the little boy from CSLA that has cancer. Several blood drives are set up this week where each donation will receive a $10 donation for Reid's treatment. If you need any more info, see Kimberly Overberg.

Announcements

Congratulations to Aubrey and Robin Wood! They are parents again to baby #2, Justus Brock. Robin's mother is in this week so food arrangements are pending. More than likely, they will start next week.

Gathering money together for the James and Lessie Williams was mentioned today. If you are interested in contributing money for gifts cards at restaurants, see Dan Mathis.

Emily Buffat was in a car accident on Christmas day and has had numerous surgeries. She is currently at Siskin and will be there for a while.

Mike Bailey's 12-year-old son was diagnosed with pneumonia and has a mass on his lungs.

Week of January 6th

Announcements

Supper Club lists from January-March were distributed today. If you were not there and didn't get your list, we still have copies available. Some of you voiced to me that you didn't know some people by their last name so we plan to make introductions in class next week so you can familiarize yourselves with everyone.

Date Night is scheduled for this Saturday, January 12th. A sign-up sheet went around class. If you didn't get a chance to sign up, call Kimberly Overberg.

Lessie Williams has been diagnosed with cancer. Pray for Lessie, James, Bill and Sarah Beth during this difficult time.

Continue to pray for Casey's father and his treatment for cancer.

The Parker Family expresses thanks for making their Christmas enjoyable with our donations.

Pray for the Watson family, friends of the Kiel's. They lost their father a few days before Christmas.

Pam Lee, Penny Pirtle's sister, is at the Mayo Clinic. She's lost a lot of fluid in the last month. She has 3 children.

A friends of Joy and Jill's (Jayme's sisters) passed away unexpectedly. He was 22-years-old.

Dustin Walker leaves for California tomorrow.

Update - Sunday Night - Jayme Dills' father, Steve Carter, was taken to the emergency room this afternoon. He was diagnosed with kidney stones. I called Jayme and he's doing much better.
